would it be possible to open the the isos directly with dolphin and launch the game?

same as when you can open file.txt with say... Word instead of notepad?

That is something about file association, if you can make txt files to be opened with Word, the you should be able to make ISO or GCM files to be opened with Dolphin.

For XP it would be to open any folder > Folder Options > | File Types |
You can always see other file associations to see how their 'Open' command work and make one yourself, although it might be different for Dolphin.

Typically quite easy to do if you just install dolphin into your program files folder.

Excellent, with those you could even make different Open commands... give some time to figure those out
I put some command in a shortcut and works, then open the .iso file which should use the same command as the one in the shortcut and over 9000 errors pop up.

The command:
"(dolphindir)\Dolphin.exe" -e "(isopath\isofile)" works for the shortcut
using
"(dolphindir)\Dolphin.exe" -e "%1" as an open command for iso files just won't work.

Is this something related to WxWidgets?

see the comments here

http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/iss...il?id=2110

in short, dolphin looks in the cwd for plugins etc,
delete the portable file in the dolphin config folder and launch dolphin
it will ask if you want to save the location to whereever dolphin was launched from
this file is saved in %APPDATA%
and than file association works
