Opengl seems broken in the latest nvidia drivers and direct x 11 looks ugly because of no shader options. But before all this mess, I'd say OpenGL.

Open GL or DX11?

What card do you have? 780M here.
Get this in the error logs: Code: - System Hope this isn't a problem like PCSX2 had when the new cards came out. Everything did use to work just fine. Now it doesn't. I had an old version that use to work. That same old version doesn't work correctly anymore. I do get the following errors when installing new drivers: Code: Faulting application name: nvStInst.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x52f6580b Even when I completely uninstall them with revo uninstaller. That's why I blamed the drivers. I don't get any other crashes with any other opengl emulator. I just used DDU uninstaller and reinstalled the drivers. Still only happening in dolphin. Similar issue is here: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-op...ush?page=2 But setting threaded optimization to off didn't work. 03-07-2014, 05:01 AM
Seem to be the only one with an issue. Maybe some dumb thing due to 3DVision?
My K2100M is fine.
Earlier versions do seem to work with opencl off. Older version when turning opecl on, no longer work. But they use to on this same machine. In order to say I seem to be the only one, we must ask other ppl that have 700 series geforce cards. There was an issue with direct x on pcsx2 that they made a fix for that nvidia never fixed. It could be a similar issue. But the thing is, everything use to work fine.
What else system wise that could be tied to this that i may have to reinstall or reregister? Also, is there anything in older dolphin versions that shouldn't be in the newer versions (because I overwrite previous versions with the newer versions)? Lastly, is there some graphical setting that I can turn off in the driver that could affect this? Edit: I unpacked a fresh dolphin from the zip into a fresh area. I then turned on each option that I usually turn on one by one. It seems like unchecking ignore format changes causes this issue. It never use to do that before. But when I go back to the old dolphin location and check it back like it was unmodified, it still crashes. So I guess it's something that was left by a previous dolphin from an overwrite that's messing it up? But still, it never did that before. Edit2: Got it back to working correctly. Yeah, it was the ignore format changes option. I had to make sure everything was set like default and have external frame buffer disable to unchecked and to have ignore format changes to checked. I also had to delete the shader cache. Everything seems to be working okay again. But yeah, to get back on track, I prefer the opengl only because dx11 doesn't have shaders yet. 03-07-2014, 11:45 AM
Software renderer, in addition to being ridiculously slow, has intolerable aspect ratio distortion and stretch-fills about 70% of the screen, leaving a black border. Also it doesn't emulate MKWii Rainbow Road properly. But then again, all but the first point could have changed.
Aldo, newer versions of Dolphin (4.0 and above, more or less) store config in "My Documents\Dolphin Emulator" instead of the User subfolder of the program directory. 03-11-2014, 02:41 AM
In twilight princess, opengl kicks direx 11's ass! I can't even use texture packs in 11 without it messing up the ui. -_-

The last time I checked, custom textures under D3D11 was hit and miss. Don't recall if neobrain made progress on that, but it has been known issue in the past.

I have fixed one particular (critical) issue with it (not committed to master, yet). Apart from that I'm still waiting for more useful issue reports. 03-11-2014, 08:02 AM
