Which part of the .ini affects the games framerate? I'm trying to disable the 30fps because the D-Pad up toggle doesn't seem to work and I don't know how to permanently disable it. It's causing way too many issues and the difference in frame rate is barely noticable.

I'm trying to disable the 30fps because the D-Pad up toggle doesn't seem to work and I don't know how to permanently disable it. It's causing way too many issues and the difference in frame rate is barely noticable. All codes labelled: 30 FPS Switch. For Ocarina of Time it consists out of 3 parts. You need to reload your game if you don't disable it manually in order to reset it (with the codes disabled of course). When booting the game (not using a save state) the game reverts back to the default values, including those for the FPS. Only the save data area is being kept, which I try to be careful with obviously to not permanently destroy data. Most of the save data area is not that permanent through, such as the current sword Link is holding. For example, simply re-equiping your sword for example forces that memory address line to be properly set. The D-Pad Up toggle should work without any issues. It requires an Emulated GameCube controller. Check your FPS in Dolphin. It should toggle between 20 FPS and 30 FPS for in-game sections that are not exempted (aka, cutscenes, not in Control of Link, specific scenarios, etc). Keep in mind there's also an alternative toggle Gecko Code which uses two separate buttons instead: D-Pad Up to enable and L + D-Pad Up to disable... But uhh... I kinda already use the L + D-Pad Up combination for other codes, such as Majora's Mask: "Transform With L + D-Pad". EDIT: I updated the enhancement codes on the second and third post, and in my download links. Updated some codes with the newest fixes and additions, and most importantly I purged to Boss HP codes bugs into oblivion. Long story short, the boss codes are now only triggered when within the room of the boss itself, not anywhere else anymore. 01-27-2020, 11:26 PM
Hi. Fantastic work! Any chance for added polish translation for this project? I have roms N64 in polish language and translations files for OoT, MQ and MM. Regards

I can certainly include those into the project. I am not able to speak Polish (or most other languages in fact) myself, so that should be up to others. Any new contributions provided will likely be part of V4.2, which will likely feature The Moon by Nerrel. Regarding, supporting AR Codes for your Polish translation. I mostly focus on only coding for the official releases. If your rom hack is fundamentally intact, chances are that any existing AR Codes will continue to work. If you like to stay in touch with me regarding to how contribute (credits will be added) towards for the project, you can join my Discord server or just PM me on Discord. It's probably the more preferable, faster and easier method to discuss the ongoing project. My Discord server can be found in the signature.
The download links have been updated. The Dawn & Dusk patcher has been removed, as well as the Restoration Xdelta Patches and Language Xdelta patches. All Xdelta patches are now available in one combined download. As for Dawn & Dusk and Spanish Translation patcher, those have been condensed into a single patcher, including a Polish translation kindly offered by AndriejSiergiej for Ocarina of Time. With thanks to GhostlyDark for making the Xdelta patches.

The OoT VC Patcher has been completely revamped (yet again) into the Zelda 64 VC Patcher. In addition to providing patches to Ocarina of Time, it's also possible to patch Majora's Mask. Majora's Mask uses a compressed romc which is decompressed in the patcher through romchu. Therefore users won't be required to provide their own Majora's Mask N64 rom (since it re-uses the romc that's already within the .WAD). The patcher offers now the Polish Translation (also by AndriejSiergiej) for Majora's Mask thanks to this.
There's also the option to inject custom roms. This requires however to provide a .Z64 rom of your own. The GameID won't be changed through, and might be a feature for the next update. In addition, the Zelda 64 VC patcher also checks if the .WAD you are patching has the original GameID. A GameID check has been added for the SM64 VC patcher as well. So, I finished Ocarina of Time with no more issues. Now I'm playing Majora's Mask using the same types of cheat codes and haven't had any issues until I hit Great Bay. I decided to try and get the Hookshot, Gilded Sword and do the Romani Ranch sidequest all in one cycle. I dropped my sword off with the swordsmith dude in Snowpeak, initiated the first flag of Romani's quest and got the Zora Mask. Fiddled around with it a bit, no issues. I entered the Pirate's Fortress and got caught by a Gerudo, not a big issue. I attempt to break a pot and Zora Link pulls out a bottle that appears to have a Big Poe in it (not sure, but it's a very dark blue and it gives me the message saying I can't use it). This only happens as Zora Link, but I have been unable to figure out a fix for this. I cannot progress the game without fixing this issue, and I can't just go back to an earlier save since one of the things I tried doing to fix it was, regrettably, to use the Song of Time (I set a save state before the fact, but of course I can't reset to before I initiated my new cycle since I have no save states from earlier in the cycle). I've tried getting caught again, doing the Epona save glitch, using cheat codes to put items on B (which don't seem to work when you have a mask on), restarting the game, and restarting the emulator. The only fix I can possibly think of is to just start the game over, but I'm a fair bit into the game and that's an exceptionally unappealing option.

So, if I got this right, the B button for Zora Link is bugged? NTSC-U Collector's Edition right? Don't give up just yet. Perhaps I can try and reset the button. As far as I am aware, I never modified the B button for any for the transformed states, only the regular B button when as Hylian Link (Epona, Deku, Goron and Zora uses different B button addresses). EDIT: Try applying the code below for a while, save and then disable. Code: $Majora's Mask -> Reset B Button Zora Link (AR Code) (PZLE01) That should hopefully reset the B button for Zora Link. I could look into if one of my codes caused the issue. Could you tell me which codes you had enabled? Including those for Ocarina of Time. Did all the codes come from the Main Posts or the Enhancement Codes in the download links? How recently did you update the codes? 02-05-2020, 12:31 AM

I'm using the transform with D-Pad code, the ocarina on D-Pad, the arrow change with D-Pad while aiming, doubled boss hp, doubled damage taken, and halved healing. I've checked to see if the issue persists if I disable all cheat codes as well, which I probably should have mentioned. I'll check if the code you provided fixes the issue later today, as I have to be at work shortly. Your help is very much appreciated. I will investigate if the codes you mentioned affected the transformed B button at all (which really shouldn't happen at all, which makes the whole issue strange to me). In the worst case scenario it's unsolvable I can apply a set force value for the proper B button when transformed in some of the codes. The value should always be 4D (which is the item ID for the Kokiri Sword), regardless of your obtained items / masks / equipment / quest status and transformed state. The regular B button for Hylian Link ranges from 4D (Kokiri Sword), 4E (Razor Sword), 4F (Gilded Sword) or FF (no item). The Set Item On B Button code only affects the regular B button for Hylian Link. Interestingly enough, these are the B button RAM addresses for NTSC-U Collector's Edition Majora's Mask (PZLE01): Code: Hylian Link & Fierce Deity Link B Button Transformed states usually can't use items, so if their B button is set to a non-usable item it reverts to the unusable bottle you were mentioning. Value 0x00 always uses the Ocarina of Time (which is usually by all transformed states, except Fierce Deity). Value 0x09 for Deku Link is the Deku Nut item, which makes sense since Deku Link uses them when flying. I suspect the game is hardcoded to let the Deku Nut item on the B button to cause Deku Link to shoot bubbles when on the ground. 0x50 is the value for the Fierce Deity Sword when in Fierce Deity form. It shares the same B button as Hylian Link. When transforming back into Hylian Link, it checks your sword in the Quest Status in order to revert the B button. |
