Onscreen controller issue

I recently made the jump from the PC version to Android, due to my new Galaxy S9+ actually running dolphin better than my pc, and I notice the touchscreen controls are all bunched up in the corner. I can map a bluetooth controller just fine to play my games, but I'd rather not have to take it with me everywhere I go.

I read somewhere that one solution was to first download an earlier version that had the controller setup function working, set it up there, then install the latest build over it. If that is still the most viable option, can I please get the build number to do so? I'm currently running on 5.0-7289.

The controller setup isn't broken in the latest version as far as I know. Or does something go wrong when you have to use it? You have to manually move the controls from the corner to where you want them regardless of which version you're using.

And how do I go about doing that? Only options I see for controller setup are to map the buttons. I have tried dragging them out of the corner while a game is running to no avail. Am I missing something?

If you swipe down from the top of the screen while the game is running, you'll be able to access the menu where you can move the on-screen buttons.

Must be an issue with the fullscreen settings of the 9+ then, as no amount of swiping I do brings the menu you mentioned  out in this latest build, instead pulling down my notification bar from it's hidden position

Bump

I went back a couple thousand builds and got the controller set up with build 5.0-6777, noticed that the in game dropdown menu disappears around the 7000's. However, as I moved into those builds, it kept the placement mostly intact, just ended up shifting the items that were on the right side of the screen to the left a ways.

Could you find the exact version that broke it? It would be very helpful for fixing the issue. My phone doesn't have the issue as far as I know, so it's not something that I'm able to test on my own.

from my note 8, I have no problems with the mentions ... the S9 has the same screen difference as mine. I would not have to give you stories
