Hello, I've been trying to use my old 4.0-7840 build of Dolphin, which is the one required for netplay on Anther's Ladder. It has historically worked just fine. However, currently, despite the controller config detecting a Wii U controller adapter, when I boot up a game I am unable to control anything (Melee confirms I have no controller detected by virtue of no player cursor), and in fact I can't even press Esc to quit the emulation for some reason, I have to instead Alt+F4. These symptoms only started appearing after downloading and using a very recent build of dolphin, and everything works fine on that build. I need the old one to work, though, so I can netplay people.

I have tried rebooting, deleting all dolphin installations, redownloading a fresh copy of 4.0-7840, and even deleting everything under the dolphin folder in Documents, all to no avail. This is on Windows 8. Can anyone assist me, please? The only thing I can think of now is to reformat my whole hard drive, which I really don't want to do.

I tried that, there isn't much to do as far as configuring goes when using the Wii U gcn adapter.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver?
