old Savegames don´t work after reinstallation

Hi!

I used to play Mario Kart - Double Dash with Dolphin, but after I had to reinstall my system, Dolphin would not load my old savegames anymore.
I just replaced the whole Dolphin\x64\User folder with the one from my old system, expecting the program to work with that, but it doesnt.
Are the old savegames not working with the new version of dophin? Can I change them, to work again? Or get the old program somewhere?

By "savegames", do you mean savestates, or native Gamecube memcard files/ native Wii saves?
Savestates are currently pretty buggy, and not guaranteed to be transferable between different Dolphin revisions.

Oh sorry! Yes, im talking about savestates.
Is there any possibility to convert those to memory card files to get them to work again?

Memory card files should work fine in any revision.
Savestates will not and there is nothing you can do about it.

Don't use savestates for long term saves.

Hey guys, its me again.
I actually managed to find a revision, that loads my state saves again =)
After all this trouble I was hoping to find a way to load the old save states and save them into a memory card file. So far I found out, that a new memcard file can be created when starting the game. But if I load my save state after that, the program doesnt write the state into that file.
Is there a way, to do what I intend, or is it just not possible?
