Official USB Wi-Fi Dongle & Wiimote

I have read the rules and found some interesting articles
but I was really wondering if it is possible to use the USB Wi-Fi dongle to connect the wiimote to my computer?
I couldn't find any mention of this which I thought was rather odd cause those WiFi dongles are pretty widely available. And I think it's roughly the same technology.

Sorry but the WiiMote uses Bluetooth, WiFi and Bluetooth are two very different technologies and are not compatible with each another.

Ya, unfortunately that's impossible. To use bluetooth connection, the dongle must directly invoke BT .dll libraries for windows/linux socket that have been written in c++. Wifi works on a completely different principle though the two are vaguely similar. They have different drivers altogether.
