Official Nintendo Switch GameCube USB controller, Dolphin won't even acknowledge it.

I am brand new to Dolphin, and I own an official USB Nintendo Switch GameCube controller. This controller works beautifully on other emulators, but I cannot get Dolphin to even let me configure the controls in order to play games with it.

On the "Controllers" menu where it asks what port (1 through 4), it only lists these:

I have tried all of them, none of them are the controller in question. I have spent the last 30-40m scouring YT and the internet for guides on how to set it up, but all of them lead me to the WiiU converter thingy, which is NOT what I need.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

in the list you have to select which type of controller you want to emulate.
use "Standard Controller"
under "Configure" you can specify him under "device:"
