Hello Everyone,

I am trying to get Netplay working for SSBM and they tell me I should use this specific version of dolphin:
https://dolphin-emu.org/download/dev/c5b1ec3329d47006bfddb381f730ad4310528b00/

Here is the melee netplay forum post in question:
http://smashboards.com/threads/dolphin-online-melee-netplay.335432/

So my dilema is that I want to have native support with the direct connect feature (which is apparently nonexistent in the required netplay version even though 4.0-652 is later than 4.0-4599).
Will I have to use VJoy for netplay or is there someway I can use native with the version I have?

4.0652 does not have a single "Controller Settings" window, only separate GCPad and Wiimote settings windows and the "Direct Connect" checkbox is nowhere to be found.

Can anyone help shed some light on this situation?

Thanks in advance.
~Cheers~

4.0-652 is in no way newer than 4.0-4599 (is 652 greater than 4599?). It's over a year old at this point so it understandably doesn't support the official adapter.

I would go ahead and follow the steps here to simultaneously get native support in new versions of dolphin and standard driver support for the old 652 branch.

Oooohhhhhh, whoops... my bad. I had just misinterpreted the numbers for some reason and had mentally appended decimal points after the first digit (I was thinking 6.52 vs 4.599).

Thanks for the link though, should be able to get it working now.
