Official GameCube Adapter use on android?

Hi I have Dolphin on my Nvidia Shield Tv and was trying to get the official adapter to work and its not. I went into the configs file and there is an option to turn on a gc adapter but when I did it still wont recognize the controller. Has anyone been able to get this to work?

It can't work under android.
Even the mayflash version running in "PC Mode" is broken under Android due to limitations in the OS.

These are issues that Dolphin can't work around.
