In P:M 3.5, the team added an "All-Star" versus mode that basically allows you to have one character per stock, rather than one character for the whole match. You just select it under "Special Brawl" and then select your characters one by one.
Unfortunately, on Dolphin, if you play a regular match before going to Special Brawl and then try to do an All-Star versus match, all of your characters end up being Mario no matter what you selected (this happens to all players, CPs included). I've gotten people on the P:M forums to confirm that this behavior does not happen on actual hardware (though I have not tested this myself). I'm not playing using Gecko/Ocarina, I have a pre-built ISO with the codes patched to the .dol. All of my settings are the "fast" ones, so no XFB, no EFB2RAM, fast texture cache, etc. Should I report a bug over at the Google Code page, or does someone know what's up with this?
