Odd PM/Brawl Performance Issues after Switching to SSD

I am now 0/2 on SSDs. I borrowed one from work [http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820139135] and have a somewhat different issue. My FPS does not change according to the game window, but it is noticeably sluggish. It is hard to describe exactly how it behaves. Best I can come up with it seems to stutter ever 3 frames or so. It is much more playable than with my other SSD, but there is clearly a performance drop when using this SSD when compared to booting into my HDD. Could this be a mobo problem or am I just extremely unlucky?
