Hi Guys,

I have been testing the development releases for sometime now and find it real interesting what you devs are working on, but have noticed
something which I didn't really know was worth reporting. It's regarding a strange performance hit.

I have noticed that when I finish using the dev editions (using the latest v4.0-2875) my pc seems to go through some lag and performance
issues. Telltale signs are moving windows about the desktop become quite choppy and jerky, winamp player scrolling text is jerky and
jerky scrolling up & down webpages using the mouse wheel. I hope I don't get flamed for reporting this if it seems unimportant, but did it
because I thought you wanted feedback. It's almost as if there is a resident piece of software/driver that is still there after shutting down
Dolphin. I have checked the program manager and can't see anything suspect. I am running at 120hz for the screen I have (3D) and it's
normally as smooth as butter so these little hiccups are real noticeable when they occur.

If I restart the pc or wait sometime it corrects itself. It only does this after using Dolphin. Never any other time. My OS (windows 7 64bit)
has recently been installed btw.

Keep up the terrific work!

I use Windows 7 and 3D monitor, and I did have this issue after the exclusive fullscreen merges, but only when the 3D monitor was the primary monitor and a 60 hz monitor was secondary. By basically switching the monitors, Windows would stop shitting itself and things will work. I think Windows 8 would fix this issue.

Not sure what you mean by full screen merges. Eitherway I only have the one screen attached and running my Nvidia GTX560 in the' one screen' performance mode.
I don't really plan (ever) to go to windows 8/8.1/9 etc so not sure whether to just wait and see until this issue disappears by itself/devs solve it. Chances are it's a
by product of the development stage and changes Dolphin is going through. It's not a massive issue but wanted to let you all know.

Exclusive Fullscreen was a feature added to Dolphin, that's what I meant by fullscreen merges. Try older builds and see if you run into the same problems.

Isn't there an option to disable exclusive fullscreen and revert to the old behaviour in the recent builds? That approach might also help.

Probably Dolphin fills up almost all memory (memory leak maybe) prompting OS to send other apps to virtual memory (HDD).
