There's something going on that I'm not quite sure about.
I have one USA and one EUR GCM for the game James Bond: Nightfire. I first tried these out with a version of Dolphin a long time ago (revision 1546) and the USA one seemed to work; if you have no current saved data, you have to go through a tutorial mission (or at least start the mission where you can then quit to the main menu), and this worked once, albeit not exceptionally well. I got to the main menu and saved, so I had one USA save which did not require me to go through the tutorial mission again each time I started the game.
The USA save allowed me to play missions and multiplayers, which were fine apart from some surfaces being non-solid when they should have been, and some invisible surfaces being solid. I wondered if this was to do with a corrupt GCM, and at this point only had the USA one, so found an EUR equivalent to try out. However, I didn't have a prior saved game for the EUR version so had to load up the tutorial mission in order to quit it. At this point Dolphin crashed; I think it was to do with some Need For Speed elements being present in the mission, since Nightfire used part of the NFS engine for its driving elements.
From this point onwards, with the same and newer revisions of Dolphin, I have been unable to load past the tutorial mission on either the USA or EUR version of the game without loading the USA save that I managed to get at first. If I swap the memory card save in a newer revision of Dolphin with my first USA save, the game runs as it does not have to load the tutorial but there are still the 3D artefacts in the missions and multiplayers. If I try to use the USA save with the EUR version of the game, it is ignored and the tutorial mission loads straight up, and crashes.
So, I have a problem. The only solutions I could think of would be to somehow copy one of my actual GameCube saves onto my computer (I have the EUR GameCube disc of Nightfire), although I am using a Wii to play the game rather than a GameCube itself. Another solution might be to edit the USA save so that it works with the EUR version, although I don't know if that would be possible.
TL;DR: The game worked properly once, now it doesn't work at all unless I load my original saved game. I want to try out a European version of the game but the USA save isn't recognised by the EUR version.
If anyone has any suggestions I would very much appreciate them.
