Hi, This is my first time posting on this forum, but I have been using dolphin for quite a while now.
I notice something odd about dolphin when I play NSMBW.
When I start it up I have a very slow ~20 fps (~15 fps fullscreen), but when I open the DX9 settings while the game is still open, my framerate jumps up to 60 fps both fullscreen and windowed? It seems to only affect NSMBW, if I play any other games it is averages 40-60 fps windowed. Is this a bug or something?

I have it set on DX9 plugin with the following settings:
Anisotropic filter 1x
anti-aliasing none
load native mipmaps yes
efb scaled copy yes
pixel lighting no
pixel depth no
force bi/trilinear filtering no
3d vision no
enable cpu efb access yes
copy yes - enable to texture
safe texture cache no

in advanced I have all unchecked except:
disable fog
show fps

My Specs:
Athlon 64 X2 4800+ (2.5 GHz)
3GB DDR2
Geforce 210 512MB

Thank you for reading!

I have a theory. Try checking copy to texture in the game properties instead of the graphics plugin settings and see if that fixes it.

That seems to mitigate the effects.
I achieve around ~50 fps, but still 60 fps after the config window opens.
Anyway, I thought the settings were global and override any game settings?

Thanks for your help so far.

It's a long story so I'll simplify it: bug + preset game.ini files = AAAAHHHH!!!

Just use the latest dolphin version. The ini files for the game are changed since EFB to Ram breaks Directx11 plugin.
