Odd Dolphin crashes on start up

Recently I decided to set up netplay for Project M on Dolphin so I uninstalled my previous version, which worked fine, and installed 4.0-6554. The problem is now that whenever I try to run Dolphin it just crashes instantly reading, "Dolphin.exe has stopped working." I've installed other versions of Dolphin to test this and I receive the same error.

I was fast enough to click a button on Dolphin before the program closed and this error message came up: http://imgur.com/lzmgi8f

I've looked this up and I've never seen anyone with this exact problem before, which I find odd.

Anyone know how I could finally get Dolphin to run again? This has been getting pretty frustrating Sad

EDIT: Just changed like from puush to imgur.

EDIT 2: Problem solved. My controller adapters drivers were just messed up. All good now.

I've had the same problem, never got a useful response. Just stick to a build that works like 5995.

Before I switched I just stuck to Dolphin 4.0.2, again I've tried switching back and I get the same problem, all versions of Dolphin now have this problem for me.

Started working for about 20 minutes but then the crashes started again, anyone know how to fix this?

Anyone have any input? This has been getting pretty frustrating since I can't play any game on Dolphin now. I might just result to a System Restore Sad

before you system restore, try deleting all dolphin folders, specifically the one in your documents called "dolphin emulator", and redownload the latest dev version

note: this will delete all of your saves, so you might want to export them before trying this

Tried this multiple times and once more just now to be sure, still no luck. Has anyone else reported seeing this error message before?

That error message is a very generic Windows one and the problem could be anything.

But let's start with the basics: are you running any third-party processes or services in the background?
Try running Dolphin on a 'clean' boot by disabling everything. If it works now then try to isolate the problem.

Just tried the clean boot, still crashes at the start up.
