I was using the original version of obs and switched to obs studio. Before everything was working fine. Now neither Game capture nor window capture will capture any game play. Im unsure what to do. Im using Direct 3d11 and a nvida gtx 970 and im unsure what to do. Please if you can help me fix this. It works fine with project 64, and it works fine with snes emulators but not dolphin.

Obs Studio Not capturing gameplay

Lots of capture software doesn't play nicely with Dolphin because of how it hooks into the rendering pipeline - the 'obvious' ways to do it that work with most games aren't necessarily grabbing a frame that Dolphin is done with. If you want to capture gameplay, the best way is to use Dolphin's built-in capture system, but this doesn't work for live streaming. If you want to do that, then you'll probably be best off by switching things like rendering backends and Dolphin versions.

Turn off exclusive fullscreen in graphics > Advanced, or turn on borderless fullscreen, I really forgot what we call it, and do desktop capture or window capture.

Then you're probably doing it wrong, no offense.
Basically, this happens if anything tries to hook into Dolphin's rendering pipeline because with the way Dolphin emulates, Dolphin really doesn't like that. Something in your drivers could also be causing the problem. I know nvidia drivers like to hook into everything it can with that shadowplay stuff. Turn that off if enabled. |
