Ok this is weird.
At first I was unable to reproduce this issue with any dolphin settings. I tried with d3d11, d3d12, openGL, and vulkan. I tried with borderless and exclusive fullscreen. I tried with seperate window and render to main window. I tried with fullscreen and windowed. This was using a direct game capture in OBS by window name. Then I went to test OBS "capture any fullscreen application" and "capture foreground window" options and it gave me a black screen. I thought no big deal I thought those might not work with dolphin anyways. But then when I switched back to "capture specific window" I was still getting a black screen. Since then I have been restarting dolphin and OBS and sometimes I get a black screen and sometimes it works fine, with no changes made to settings. It seems totally random. I have not experienced this with any PC game in OBS so I'm willing to bet it's an issue with the way dolphin presents the window. You only listed the stream/recording settings in OBS. What are your scene capture settings? As far as recording lag goes we need your full system specs. And you need to lower your cpu usage preset in OBS. The default is "very fast" which is already pretty taxing on most cpus but you raised it all the way up to "fast" for some reason. Dolphin is very cpu heavy and on top of that you're using a laptop cpu so you will probably need to lower it to "super fast" or "ultra fast". Or switch the encoder from X264 to NVENC at the expense of image quality. Edit: Ok I did some more testing. "Capture any fullscreen application" and "capture foreground window" do work. So literally every possible combination of obs and dolphin settings work. The issue is definitely with dolphin. Restarting OBS does not resolve the issue when it occurs but restarting dolphin does. It seems to happen randomly after exiting the game in dolphin multiple times. The game is still running normally in dolphin but OBS is no longer seeing anything until I restart dolphin, even if I try to reopen the game first. In order to exit the game in dolphin I just use the escape key in dolphin and click yes to confirm.
