Not quite so much for signature images, I e.g. don't want to block all photobucket images or something. Too bad Firefox doesn't allow blocking individual images...

If you have Adblock Plus you can individually block images.

Or just right click on a image -> block element (Element blocken)

I use the AdBlock+ plugin with Google Chrome.

Well I'll be so that's how you pull it off, but I don't want to block them really.

I respect people that have put down effort in making signature images, I really do and some are really nice made.
But if it's to big, there's always the possibility in changing the size to a smaller one and still maintaining it's message.

lol, no one really reads what I post :p

AdBlock has a high level of granularity, imo. You can block entire domains, subdomains, individual subdirectories, or specific URLs. You get to choose which one. If you block specific URLs, you can pick and choose which images you don't want to see. So you wouldn't kill all photobucket pics (though you could), just the ones that annoy you.

So say if you ever wanted to get rid of my avatar, because you strongly dislike MLP for whatever reason, you'd just use the "Custom" filter, which blocks only the specific URL for that image rather than entire levels of the Dolphin website. It's the easiest way I know of the block individual images with Firefox. Here's the example screenshot of what it'd look like. I think Opera has natively long since had the ability to do what AdBlock does, though I don't use it anymore.

Damn, beaten by Garteal + DefenderX. Whatever.

This thread has finally made me finish my avatar (although not the signature image). Any opinions?

I did read you posts, I just thought you were referring to firefox in general in that particular post. I don't want to install an extension just to block people's images (especially since blocking images is like 1% of the functionality of AdBlock).

Well, the 1% seems kinda inaccurate, given AdBlock Plus' functionality is content filtering. Whether it's an annoying forum pic or an image-based ad, when it blocks those images it's still doing what it was designed to do: filter out content.

But yeah, one would have thought that both Chrome and FF would have developed such an ability natively by now; extensions always bug you for updates (I ignore most of them anyway). Google and Mozilla probably just don't want feature-creep in the project, so they allow extension instead.

Mine is a bit big but it is more wide then any thing - I thought the size was alright but if a mod. wants me to make it smaller I can.
