While it's nice to see peoples custom signature images time to time, some of them is pretty big and takes a lot of space.

I don't want to point my finger on anyone but it's kinda annoying when you try to read and focus on threads and posts and suddenly there is a huge signature image coming up.

If it is a popular thread and many posts is made by the same user who has this large image it can get a bit tedious and makes me lose interest in continuing reading it.

As far as I can tell there isn't any limit on how huge the signature image can be so it's pretty much free for all.

I know I know...there is an option to turn signatures off like the:

"Disable users' signatures in their posts" in the Edit Option area.

But that turns off it completely and most people who is serious on this forum write their computer specs in the signature space to facilitate things when they have issues.

I want to ask: Is there any future plans to implement a limit on how large these images can be?

Thanks in advance for any answer!

We aren't the guys who coded the forum software, so we can't do anything about it (apart from disabling images altogether).

That said, I agree that large signature images are *very* annoying. I usually remove the image from a signature if it's bigger than 99% of the posts done by the user.

I agree on that, it's common sense which most people should have.
Too bad that's not the case with some of the users I have seen here over the time.

I really don't want people to think of me as a douche bag for bringing this discussion up on the table.

Just scroll over it, not a big deal.

Why would it make you lost interest? It's just an image, dont make such a big fuss over it.

And yes, I agree 'big signatures' are annoying, but I really haven't seen anything that can be considered 'big' so far.
DefenderX is coming pretty close though.

I really shouldn't have to do that in this decade.
Big signature images is so 2000.

I wish I could, it's just that my eyes don't like to get raped.

Well I have seen a couple recently actually, but again I don't want to point my finger on anyone since that's nor in my interest or agenda.

Lol, it's not just the image. The whole combination was a bit big.
You could remove your specs from your sig as you already have it in your profile for instance.

It's looking good DefenderX.
You shrank the size of the image and still maintained the message behind it.

By the way what happened to your signature image Garteal?
It was nice and I hope you didn't removed it because of this?
