So I went and picked up a Nyko Wii Wand+ from gamestop today hoping to play skyward sword. The controller connects to my pc perfectly all input works it has the RVL-CNt-01 bluetooth ID, but when I start up skyward sword it does not detect the motion plus. I just get the connect the wiimote and nun-chuck to motion plus message. The motion plus works fine on my Wii but not with Dolphin. Does anyone have any experience with this or some advice to get it working. I was really excited for HD Zelda.

Thank you for any help,

Tom

Try booting the game with the nunchuk disconnected and plug it only when the screen asking for it appear, it may help. Another try would be pressing Alt+F5 twice in that screen... If nothing helps, then it may not work at all. Dolphin doesn't play nice with 3rd party accessories, some of them work, some not...

Unfortunately no luck. I guess I will just return it and get the motion plus add on for my original wiimote.

The problem was evidently that it wasn't detecting the Nunchuk – it detected the MotionPlus just fine.

Also, yeah, third-party remotes have always been pretty spotty in terms of compatibility with Dolphin.
