For VC games to properly save, you have to exit to the home menu or properly shut down. If you forcibly power the console off, it won't save properly.
You might want to update to the latest dev builds of Dolphin too, since those fix many issues. 03-07-2019, 02:21 PM
I already did. It seems like it saves my games now. But it didnt save them in the beginning. Why is that?

Some VC games don't flush their save data the first time until you safely shut off the Wii. That's why it can have trouble saving the first time.
N64 VC doesn't react that way so I don't know what happened.
This probably isn't part of the issue, but I might be worth considering nevertheless.
Usually when using Save States, it might prevent a game from saving using the game's own saving methods (aka, writing to Memory Card or Wii Memory). At least, it is what I occasionally experience with GameCube games. It basically comes with a message in-game stating that the game could not be saved. Something about corrupted save date (probably due mixing up the timestamps through using Save States). The issue can especially occur if you save in-game and then load to a Save State prior to that in-game save you made. As long you keep in mind to do a Save State after a regular in-game save, everything should be fine. I am not really sure if this is an issue for Wii, Virtual Console or WiiWare titles as well. Just something I occasionally experience with GameCube titles. Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask are also available for the GameCube (since you used the Virtual Console version), so I don't know if it is the same issue (for all versions) or a completely different issue unique to the Virtual Console version. 03-08-2019, 05:52 AM

I didnt get a message that says the game could not be saved. I also didnt get a chance to save the game with song of time. But i will keep it in mind.

The N64 VC emu probably won't throw any errors about being unable to save, I've never seen one. |
