Don't own a shield so I'm wondering what resolution can you play games at?
Nvidia shield TV Resolution?

If you're asking what the maximum resolution of the device is, it supports all the way up to 4K. However, apps have to have special support from Nvidia in order to render at that resolution, so you're actually limited to 1080p until the devs figure that out.
If you're asking what resolution you can realistically play with good performance, I usually see performance dip significantly at 1080p, so I probably wouldn't expect more than 720p. 02-03-2016, 06:28 AM
Some later builds of Dolphin Android have 4K selectable as the internal resolution, but does the Shield TV allow the app to run in 4K?
Hope the good build gets done soon with the return of full input settings.

Stop posting feature requests in unrelated threads.
As for 4K: as previously stated, choosing 4K will not make a difference until the devs put effort into supporting Shield's 4K mode. The image will be rendered at 4K and the extra pixels will be thrown out in the conversion to 1080p, much the same as on desktop. 02-05-2016, 06:27 AM
I don't trust the gpu anything higher than 1080p thinking that games in 4k would require a high end desktop card what the X1 isn't.
