Update to the latest development build of Dolphin, then switch to OpenGL if you aren't already using it. (The problem is that bounding box emulation isn't working with your GPU in the 5.0 stable release.)

Thanks for the quick response. I'm using dev build. 5.0-4877 and also openGL.

Hmm, I'm not sure what the problem is then... Bounding box should be working, and the right graphics settings should be enabled automatically by the game INI. I'm going to assume that you haven't been manually changing the values of the Disable Bounding Box or Store EFB Copies to Texture Only settings while the game is running.

Nope havent. the only things i have changed is the internal resolution and aspect ratio. Everything runs fine up until that point. I had found this searching for a fix but its old dont know if this would help at all.....
Here's the fix for Super Paper Mario that I took forever to figure out (at long last) because the name changed for the bbox option (thanks Dolphin devs),breaking the old one's functionality,so this is the correct name with the other required setting. EFBToTextureEnable = False BBoxEnable = True Put it in the proper region GameSettings ini file you create, these will make it run past the Prologue with Bowser and his troops. Even the Vulkan Backend runs it decent via pr3935 builds. 08-01-2017, 04:23 AM
That fix is already integrated to Dolphin and gets applied automatically.
Just as a test, you might want to change the internal resolution to 1x. The non-integer scales are known to be problematic in particular.
Nevermind, I didn't pay attention to the thread title or subforum and missed the fact that you were using Android. Dolphin will not apply that fix automatically, because the default game INIs don't get used on Android. You need to disable Store EFB Copies to Texture Only and disable Disable Bounding Box, either by changing the settings manually or by making a game INI like described in that old post you found.

Anyway you can walk me through how to do it? I read what i had posted from that other article and had no clue how to do so. I looke in dolphin settings for those items to change but didnt see anything. Thanks again.

Hm, seems like Disable Bounding Box can't be changed in the Android GUI... I suppose adding a game INI is the simplest method then.
Download this file: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/dolphin-emu/dolphin/4c004b6dc978d7585bf0765e22351ef1edd39a3a/Data/Sys/GameSettings/R8P.ini Find the "dolphin-emu" folder on your device. There should be a folder in there called "GameSettings". Put the INI file you downloaded into that GameSettings folder. It's important that the file is named exactly "R8P.ini". 08-01-2017, 04:49 AM
