Question
Hello,
I have been having issues getting the Shield TV controller to work properly as a Wii Controller in the Shield TV, mainly the sideways option for games like Super Mario Wii.

I have therefore been contemplating getting one of the Mayflash DolphinBars with a Wii Controller.

Does anyone use the Bar and a controller on Dolphin with an NVIDIA Shield TV? If so, how well does it work and is it a good investment? Finally if so, what version of the Wii controllers have you purchased to use with it. I know there are different versions out there and some work better than others.

Thanks,
Nathan

The DolphinBar does indeed work on the nvidia shield! We covered it in the February 2016 Progress Report.

Thank you.
I am assuming I need the official Nintendo branded controllers and not a 3rd party controller for the DolphinBar, such as this one at Amazon http://a.co/cLIt77O.  Also for the DolphinBar itself, I thought there was a couple revisions, so wanted to make sure this one was correct: http://a.co/40PFO4Z.

Thanks again,
Nathan

Any revision of the DolphinBar will be fine, most of the differences are in the firmwares. Just make sure it's updated! And yes, you should use real Wii Remotes, not 3rd party ones.

Unfortunately it is roughly 70 for 2 controllers and DolphinBar is 22 so close to 90 for this.  If only I could get the Options/Sideways Wiimote setting to stick in the WiiMoteNew.ini I could use the standard controller that came with the Shield TV.
