Is anyone using Shield TV Software Update 3.0?
There seems to be an issue between some dolphin versions and android 6. For version 4.0-8766, the emulation speed is fast on android 5.1 and 6.0 (shield update 2.1 and 3.0 respectively), but newer version of dolphin like 4.0-8886 are only fast on 5.1. On 6.0 the emulation speed is really slow. It seems something changed between versions 4.0-8766 and 4.0-8886 that is incompatible with Android 6.0 only. 02-20-2016, 04:21 PM

The official OTA 3.0 update is rolling out and I just recieved it,so now time is of the essence if a Vulkan backend is to be made to take advantage of desktop OpenGL 4.5 features and maybe some performance boosts over the limits of ES 3.1 too.

Permissions have changed in Android 6.0 in a way that Dolphin didn't expect. It will be fixed in the future.

No need to get snappy,or are you being serious that you are that skilled. XD
I didn't mean "this instant" just eventually and literally anyone else that knows how could try to implement it,like that guy who created the DX12 backend. I can confirm performance issues of GFX with dropped frames and clean audio, but it also breaks graphics because the character select in Brawl has disappearing tiles. It even happens at 1x IR and disabling per-pixel lighting. Hope whatever is causing this can be fixed if not already done since the last few builds. After enabling the weirdly disabled storage permission for it,I ran Mupen64Plus AE before that and on GLideN64's 3.0 variant with no issues, both good graphics and matching framerates compared to how Lollipop ran it. Leanback menus seem to lag out whenever I clear an apps cache, maybe the first boot needs to have a few extra starts to make it run better despite the Dolphin breakage most likely still being there due to the update. So something specific that Dolphin uses for graphics must have been altered or maybe renamed. It can't directly be the OpenGL ES or Vulkan API themselves since Mupen64Plus AE still runs fine,it must be compatibility freaking out on Dolphin. I will try release 200 to see if it works any better, though I don't think it will unless attempts to fix the issues are already added to the newer builds.
