I tested a few builds on my up-to-date NVIDIA Shield to see which build the performance issues started on. I found that 4.0-8830 is the last build that performs well on Marshmallow and 4.0-8833 and up have the performance issues. So it looks like it is an issue on Dolphin's side and not a performance issue with the video drivers.

So this one is the bad one? Sounds fine, especially as it changes the way we ask for a driver context. It doesn't change the way we use the driver, but the driver may change some optimization flags based on this setting. Bad luck, this commit is good :/

Sounds like nvidia has stopped to advertise GL extensions which belong to higher GL levels on GL core profiles. So we fall back to glBufferSubData for streaming. This often blocks (5fps on starting a game), but the driver detects our streaming usage and uses stage buffer after some minutes (faster, but still not as good as before). Workaround is pushed at https://github.com/dolphin-emu/dolphin/pull/3689 -- http://dl.dolphin-emu.org/prs/pr-3689-do...latest.apk Edit: and merged to master. 03-02-2016, 08:51 PM

The release using 9061 ran Brawl just fine.

Dolphin emu's onscreen controls still cause the crash error when I enable them as of the recent updated JitARM64 optimization build.
This error happened on Lollipop and still happens on Marshmallow while RetroArch lost touch detection on the MM update. After enabling onscreen controls in Mupen64Plus AE,I tried them and they work perfectly fine on my Shield TV Pro. Would looking at Mupen64Plus AE's source code for it help with fixing the onscreen controls triggering a crash on Shield TV? Might as well ask since Simpsons Hit and Run is still unplayable on Android from analog not working properly.
