Great to hear that bug has been squashed, will get around to testing newer builds again soon (grabbed Path of Radiance from EBay for a pretty good price, might have my first play through of that one via my Shield).

I'm just curious... does anyone know what causes games to not boot or to freeze/crash on the Android port? I'm still having a majority of the GameCube games I'm testing do this.
Also, Super Smash Bros. Brawl worked on an older build from back in Februaryish I believe, but with newer ones the game crashes immediately upon it saving the game (which is one of the first screens that is shown). Any idea what's causing games that at least booted on an older build not work anymore? 07-28-2015, 04:23 AM

Awesome work by whoever implemented the basic emulated Wii Remote functionality! While it doesn't have options for a nunchuck, tilt, shake, or IR pointer, it's definitely a great start and opens up a lot of Wii games that can now be tested.
Here's the first test, New Super Mario Bros. Wii: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDOWaBlKEUE It runs at a pretty decent FPS, but it does crash after a couple minutes. Still very excited to see progress being made. Also, the new GUI redesign is sweet. Thanks devs! 07-28-2015, 08:51 AM

Wow, awesome work! I just taught myself how to rip dial layer discs last bit and dumped my SSB Brawl disc, recently ripped the Super Mario games shown above, and should soon have a minty Path of Radiance disc. Looks like the Shield will be serving some of my Dolphin gaming needs.
the power of the Shiel could allow it more things with emulators that other devices could do.

For anyone curious, I'm putting together a very basic NVIDIA SHIELD Android TV compatibility list for several emulators.
So far I've completed filling in everything I've tested so far (along with video links) for Nintendo GameCube and Wii games (there are just over 100 entries up to this point). http://www.freeemulator.com/nvidia-shiel...-requests/ I plan on updating this page regularly. If you have any info you'd like me to add, just let me know. 08-03-2015, 06:55 AM
Wow! Thanks so much for putting that list together, FreeEmulator! So helpful!

Figured I would post a new video of Super Smash Bros. Brawl since it works way better than the last time I tested it out.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEZEzTXnoeQ Very few glitches and decent speeds. Great progress! 08-21-2015, 06:34 PM

I haven't tried a new build for a couple of weeks while I played through Fire Emblem Path of Radiance, first game I've done a complete play through for on an Android device. Just got Luigi's Mansion, which I believe runs well too, once I rip the disc that might be my next. |
