Interesting. The PC game can't have broken it. The vcredist will simply overwrite when it finds the same version installed or sometimes it simply doesn't install when it finds a up to date version.
The DX redist will simply install the DX10 binaries and shouldn't break anything either.
How did you uninstall your NVIDIA drivers?
Try uninstalling with DDU, reboot and reinstall the drivers.
If you have messed with your vc redist installations then grab the all-in-one installer and install that first.
