Does this problem only exist when trying to use real wiimotes? Emulated wiimotes work?
Sorry I'll try and be more clear
Trying to connect a nunchuck causes dolphin to crash with a "dolphin. Exe has stopped working" message; if I try and restart the program I will keep getting the same message even with other games that I know work otherwise.... seemingly permanently. Restarting the computer or re downloading dolphin doesn't fix the crashes either

I don't even know how it's possible
Dolphin has to be storing data somewhere and then recovering it after I delete and re download
Like it remembers that it's broken and refuses to work again
