It's no longer a work in progress. The codehandler shouldn't matter any more either.

Turn on show FPS under graphics to keep track of how it's running. If Shulk runs slow and it's 60fps, there's a problem, but likely you just aren't getting the 60fps.

Turn on Store EFB copies to texture only for as long as there is lag, it will help reduce it. It can usually run with all hacks set to ON, besides vertex rounding set to OFF. Some people use XFB = Virtual. Try Vulkan if you can. Make sure dual core is on in config and when you right click the game -> properties.

See if the intro fights with Dunban has lag when running normal 30fps.

Hi One More Try,

For starters can you please show me which code I should now be using?

Also for some reason, when I got into (Right-click on the game → Properties → Edit Config, paste into the [Gecko] section) it doesn't save and I have to instead go to

~/.local/share/dolphin-emu/GameSettings/SX4E01.ini and copy and paste into the file to get it to save the settings instead... hmm

You just use what's in the first post. I don't know why it isn't saving, it should just look like

Could someone walk me through this? I've tried following the instructions but things don't match up.

I understand I have to go to Config->Enable cheats.

Then I go to Tools->Cheat Manager-> I assume I should go to the Gecko Codes tab and then I'm greeted with this blank window, where I can't put in the code anywhere.

Edit: Never mind. Got it working.

This code is cool and works well. But also removes the running animation from all NPCs in cutscenes and replaces it with fast walking instead.

Myself, having never played this game before now it took me a while to realize something was wrong, until the first scene with Juju, the vision of the "attack" just shows him walking in front of the rhino-dinos casually, totally changes the meaning and is confusing. Looked it up in someone's let's play right after, and yep, totally different.

I can capture a clip of it broken if you'd like. For now I guess I'll just have to go back to being slow~ Thanks anyways.

EDIT: I captured it regardless so you can see what it means, and I can save over that save while I play without it XD https://youtu.be/9ARjX41v8SM Here you go, what do you think?

@One More Try, is the code in the first post and wiki the same?

By the way I tried the code on the wiki in version 4.0-9508, the last commit of a version 4x and it seems to be working great.

I've heard others that the 4.x versions worked best with Xenoblade Chronicles, so I'm not really sure, I'l grab the latest 5.x git version and compile and try it with this same code and report back...

Yes, the wiki code is the same.

@SimonPDX I didn't really expect the run speed code not to break things. I was assuming people would use it for areas of the game where the normal run speed takes forever to explore with. You can try one of these as a gecko code

What stinks is that leaving 'Store EFB copies to texture' on, when you save the game, the screen shots don't appear, and I wish the Dolphin team could fix this so we can use this, otherwise, you have to save the game with no image appearing, turn it off then save over to get an image... Sad

It looks like the FPS mod is working One More Try, not sure why it was acting up before...

With XFB, what are the advanatages of the other options?

@One More Try,

I noticed I can't seek help yet in the Wii section until I have 1000 posts OUCH! Sad

So I wanted to ask, is there any version of Dolphin that has shown to run Xenobade better? I mean between 4.x and 5.x?

Personally I found the 4.x versions better.

I still see at times a stutter when I move the camera around and when running sometimes in 5.x versions that I don't really seer much in the 4.x versions...
