If it's one of the 01-TR wiimotes, chances are it won't work at all no matter what dongle you use. I wonder why no one else suggested this, it has been a pretty often spread piece of information a few months ago when Skyward Sword came out.

Okay i just went to this http://wiibrew.org/wiki/List_of_Working_Bluetooth_Devices
There they say:
Quote:SiteCom USB Bluetooth dongles
Type cn500 with BlueSoleil stack (tested: 2.3 standard and 2.6.0.6)
Type cn502 with Widcomm stack
Type cn521 with BlueSoleil and Toshiba stack
Type cn516 with Toshiba stack

would work...

So i just bought the last one (cn516) installed toshiba stack and my original wii mote (without motion plus) doesn't connect... just like before

This is the second time i trusted one of your lists and again it dont work.. wtf? am i doing smth wrong or are these lists hard fail?

Try this :

(09-18-2012, 02:47 PM)quiksilver Wrote: I just bought a white RVL-CNT-01-TR today not knowing all the crap I'd have to go through, got home and a few hours later finally got things sorted. I couldn't have done it without all the info from this site so I wanted to say thanks and post what worked for me. Both of my BT adapters were not compatible with the Toshiba stack so I had to patch my .inf file. For those people getting stuck on the Toshiba stack install where you're asked to plug in your BT device, follow the guide linked below along with my steps. Anyway I'll try to make this quick but here's what I did.

Tested on win7ult64bit with dolphin 3.0-766, Toshiba BT Stack 8.00.02, wiimote plus M/N RVL-CNT-01-TR and both a kensington and rocketfish micro BT adapter. Here's the link for Toshiba stack...http://www.sitecom.com/download/4791/toshiba_8.htm

1. Uninstall all 3rd party BT drivers, bluesol, Toshiba stack etc.
***If you can install Toshiba stack with no problems and don't need to patch skip steps 2-4.***
***Sukid made a guide on patching the inf file here .inf patch guide it explains exactly how to find your ID and patch.***

2. Plug in your BT adapter and get the hardware ID from device manager/btdevice/details.

3. After you copied the ID uninstall your BT driver through device manager and unplug your dongle.

4. Install Toshiba BT stack and patch when the installer asks you to connect your BT device, leave the installer open while patching. When the patched file is copied plug in your adapter then click okay to finish installing. You may get a popup asking if it is okay to install the driver. Restart

5. Start Toshiba BT express wizard, hit a+b on wiimote, let it find the device then install.

6.To connect hit the red sync button on wiimote then select connect in the Toshiba connection wizard, all lights should be blinking. Close the device window and open dolphin. Click the wimote button and it should pair automatically.

Everything seems to work I've been playing Xenoblade for the past 4 hours. One thing to note is that every time you power off you need to repeat step 6. There might be better ways to get this going but I'm just happy everything is working right now. Thanks again people.

You know, some more details regarding "my wiimote doesnt' connect" would be nice. And the Tosiba bluetooth stack aside, you haven't told us how your trying to connect the wiimote to your pc. Assuming your using the MS stack, first of all, does your wiimote show up at all under "Add a device" when your trying to connect it or doesn't it? If it doesnt, try right-clicking the bluetooth icon and selecting settings. Under 1 of the tabs, (maybe the first) there should be a checkbox saying something like "Allow bluetooth devices to connect to this computer" Make sure this option is ticked. Also, tell us exactly how you are trying to connect the wiimote.

Finally, any chance you have DS3 Tool/MotioninJoy installed?

I tried Bluesoleil, MS and Toshiba stack.

After i installed drivers and restarted i open the bluetooth settings and start searching for hardware...

While i do this is keep pressing 1+2 and the wiimote... waiting for it to get detected... but it dont. (IT DOES NOT SHOW UP!!!!)

Bluesoleil and MS stack -> nothing happen
Toshiba stack -> "No remote found"

Also tried to connect it directly to Dolphin... (pair up)... nothing happen.
I dont have DS3/Motionjoy

I don't keep pressing 1/2, I just hold them down. I don't think that would make a difference, but you can try it.
