Very good to everyone with the update of dolphin 5.0 6386 I got in the Mario Kart about 45 frames with some small drops to 25 or 30 frames more or less forgive my English I think that little by little we are moving forward that could work in vulkan already that in my note 8 I can not start it but if it got even faster I would go

Please go ahead and make noise in the Samsung and ARM forums and ask for EXT_buffer_storage and persistent mappings. Feel free to show them this link for technical details. This is *the* reason why it is faster for dolphin. And this is the reason why it is *not* much faster than GL if the driver already support persistent mappings. Bad luck, their Vulkan driver is even more broken: https://twitter.com/dolphin_emu/status/8...3008163845 03-01-2018, 09:37 AM
So, vulkan can compensate a weaker cpu? Cause I noted increased speed using vulkan on a sd821. But since it crash after a few seconds, couldnt try more.

Yes - one of the major goals for vulkan was to reduce CPU overhead in the driver (when doing remotely 'modern' rendering methods, at least). There's not really much that vulkan can do to improve max GPU performance over OpenGL - it just doesn't require a massively complex driver to 'decode' the intended rendering and map it to a GPU architecture that doesn't really fit OpenGL very well... 03-01-2018, 01:31 PM
Thanks @JonnyH So, a better dolphin experience awaits as the drivers gets improved.
