Hey guys been using Dolphin for a lonnnng time now! Just first want to say you are all doing a great job!

Now onto my problem, it seems people can manage to get perfect fps in certain games whereas I cannot. I think my PC specs are up to it but im not 100% so I decided to ask here.
Thanks!

PC SPECS:
AMD Phenom IIx4 ~3.4ghz
8gbs RAM
Nvidia GeForce GTX460 1GB (slightly overclocked more)
Windows 7 64-Bit

And now the games:

SSBB:

PAL, runs at 50fps most of the time. With 4 players slows to 35-50 fps.
With effects from items and such can drop to ~35 fps.
Certain stages drop it to ~35 fps.

F-Zero GX:
Fiddled with about 20 different setups and cannot get higher than 25 fps. Audio is brutal no matter what settings. Menus are laggy.

Games that run perfectly:
Merio Kart Double Dash
Resident Evil 0
Super Smash Bros Melee

Don't fiddle so much with the settings. Use Jit, not JitIL, raise the IR and lower CSAA, and unless you're having major sound issues, use HLE.
Framerate drops with more players are normal.
F-Zero GX is probably the hardest game to emulate on Dolphin. There's not much you can do with that processor @ that clock speed. Overclocking could help.
Main Laptop:
Dell XPS 17
i7 2720QM @ 2.2GHz
8GB DDR3 RAM
Nvidia GeForce GT 555M
Windows 7 64-bit

1. OpenGL and LLE recompiler are both very slow
2. Your performance seems perfectly normal given your hardware. Super Smash Bros. Brawl is extremely demanding when using 4 players and F-Zero GX is an extremely demanding period. The games that you listed as running well are less demanding games.

Thanks for the reply guys.
Unfortunately my processor is already majorly overclocked to that speed as it is.
I must ask my cousin about it again because I recall him telling me its possible to safely overclock it slightly more since he spends a lot of his time fiddling with that kind of stuff.

Thanks for the advice ill try it out.
Disappointed to hear about Brawl with 4 people. I could play it on my Wii but it looks like ass on my tv imo.
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
AMD Phenom™ II X4 20 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.4GHz

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 1GB (Overclocked but not sure by how much)
