Sup, i'm new to using dolphin and it was working fine last night but when i went to play it today it wasn't wanting to register my keyboard. The config is flickering like it's constantly refreshing. I've tried reinstalling twice, nothing works. Can someone help me out?

Try removing 4.0 from your system, then download the latest development build here -> https://dolphin-emu.org/download/ Just extract that from the archive file (use 7Zip or something like that) and run Dolphin. Tell us if everything works or not.

it's still not working, i'm not sure why it's not. I download it, install it, then try to run it, and it does the same thing. Control Configuration is still flickering and unresponsive.

I'm on windows 10, using keyboard, have the latest version. I feel like i'm missing something. Cause it was working fine, then boom next day nothing.

Are you certain you're using something new like 4.0-9392? There really is no "install" process on the development builds. Only the stable builds on Windows have installers.

Yeah, thats the one i'm using, i dont know why i said install sorry.

Okay, so i was thinking that the issue might be that i have an hp tablet laptop, and the keyboard disconnects, and that's why its not detecting it?

Sounds like that could be an issue. The flickering might be due to the fact that Dolphin on Windows always expects keyboard input no matter what? I'm not sure, but is the problem persistent even when you have the keyboard connected, or does it only show up when disconnected at some point? I think the best option would be to have the keyboard connected *before* launching Dolphin, in case you're connecting it while it's running or after it's launched.

Let us know if messing around with the keyboard connection changes anything. If not, well, we'll just have to think of something else to test I guess.

It does it even with the Keyboard connected. I even tried a usb keyboard and it's not registering an imput of any kind. When i click on Device, the entire thing is blank and i have nothing to choose from.

Does it flicker with the USB keyboard, or just the tablet keyboard? My guess is that something in Windows prevents Dolphin from seeing the USB keyboard normally.

Not a real solution, but at a minimum, you shouldn't have any trouble with a USB joystick. It doesn't actually solve the issue you're having, but just letting you know that Dolphin isn't totally a lost cause for your situation.

Here's one more question. If you connect a USB keyboard, do any of the hotkeys work? E.g. if you run a game, can you take a screenshot with the hotkey (defaults to F9 if I recall)? If that's the case, Dolphin can still register your input, it just won't let you configure things from the GUI. You'd have to manually edit some configuration files, but you'd be able to play.

Hi, I am also having a similar problem. I'm using a macbook air, and I'm currently running v 4.0-5116, because all of the newer ones i have tried instantly crash and quit upon opening. No buttons on the keyboard seem to be giving any commands when i am using the emulator. game starts and seems to run fine, but I can't get past the home screen. (not a place i'm used to being stuck in a game)

I have also tried using a gamecube controller with a wii u adapter, and could not find anything that would make that work, either.

None of the keys on the usb one are working either. It does keep flickering. Not able to take screenshots or anything else. I don't own a joystick so that sucks lol
