I've got Dolphin 3.0 for mac OS X. ive just started legend of zelda wind waker and it works fine. the wii remote i have connects fine as well. but the thing is that after it does connect, none of the buttons work during the game despite the blue light and dolphin saying im connected to it. i turned the gamecube controls off and it still did not work. eventually i found out i had to configure the wii mote but i got greeted with a very confusing screen. i tried playing around with it, expecting some change, but nothing at all. then i realized that the "configure" button says "emulated wii remote" even though on top i selected "real wii remote" as the input source. im actually planning on using my classic controller, but i cannot even get this wii remote thing right. Sorry that this may be very simple..... but no other answers have really worked so far. Huh

zelda wind waker is a gamecube game (which only uses gamecube controllers) you are trying to configure a wiimote which is only for wii games.
you need to setup the gcpad configuration, if the wiimote is not in the device list for gcpad you will need to map the wiimote buttons to keys on the keyboard using something similar to glovepie(windows only)

hey, i downloaded darwiinremote, which is really the glovepie for mac. all the buttons on my classic controller work fine to my mac. e.g. scrolling up and down a webpage. however, after configuring the same buttons onto dolphin in the GCpad section. dolphin doesnt respond to game.
for example. I set up the start button in the game as the "+" button on the classic. however, it doesn't respond to that and only does if i press "enter" on my keyboard. any ideas on how to get it working together?

Maybe it is because of your Wiimote configurations on Dolphin. Go to your wiimote settings and change the "real wiimote" to "emulated wiimote". Then try starting darwiinremote again.

Does it work with background input (in gcpad config) ticked?
