After a TON of tweaking the settings, I finally found some settings that allow me to run at least Wii games on my crappy laptop. But, even though sound and CPU speeds are 100% all the time, FPS drops to 20-30, making games like Sonic The Hedgehog Ep. 1 unplayable. Do you guys think there may be a way to increase my fps as well?

(On a side note: I'm trying to format my Wii menu to get rid of old save data and stuff to start off new, but when I format it in the menu, it never finishes formatting. It just stays on the "Formatting Wii" screen for a long time {I tried waiting about 26 hours, it still stayed}. Any other way to format it?)

100% CPU usage does NOT equate to 100% speed, it just means the CPU is being used to its full extent. If your laptop is old and/or has a CPU older than a Core i3 or Core i5, well, best of luck.

Your Laptop doesn't meet the minimum requirements for dolphin :
_Pentium Dual Core is old
_2.0Ghz clock speed is too slow
_Lack of decent GPU

To the OP, try to do a bit of research beforehand. :/ The Dolphin Wiki entry for this game makes it pretty clear that similar systems with similar specs to yours will get gameplay anywhere between 15~30 FPS.

Next time, provide your Dolphin settings as well when asking for help, even if you've tried different combinations. Also read up on the forum rules regarding making new threads.

The answer to this thread would have been pretty obvious had you searched around. Closed.
