Hello! I am fairly new to dolphin and I have a few questions.
1. Is there an ability to use different control schemes for different games like on PPSSPP? For context, I am really familiar with PPSSPP and all it's stuff, such as ad hoc abilities and different control schemes for different games. I was wondering if there was a way to set different control schemes for different games. I am currently using a Dualshock 3 for all this stuff until I get a wiimote. Something I want to do is make a game like wii sports use a similar control scheme to MLB the show's pure analog swing/pitch system, while mariokart can have something like most other racing games, where R2 is gas, L2 is drift, X is the item button, and Left stick is steering, because I'm way better at using those in other racing games than whatever the control scheme for mariokart is. Is this possible on dolphin?
2. Can I make sixaxis on my dualshock 3 work for some of the motion controlled games? Of course, it would look and feel goofy, but I think it will be the closest I get to actual motion controls rather than a mouse or joysticks.
2b. How do I set the vibrations up for Dualshocks, if anyone knows? I run ScpToolkit as the driver to the dualshock 3, and it works like a charm. I have the option checked for vibration on in the settings for scp, but I can't figure out how the dang thing works on dolphin to make the controller vibrate.
3. Is there a way to make TAS input a bit less of a pain to use? Last night I had my girlfriend over to try the stuff out, and getting the mii channel to work was a pain in the ass on it's own, but then comes TAS input. It turns out that no matter what me or my girlfriend tried, we could not get the dualshock to get the pointer on the channel. I tried the thing on wii sports, and the pointer was fine there. After we did some research, we found one guy who used TAS input on mii channel, and it worked. However, it was so slow for us to use it. We could not get the pointer to follow my mouse like the guy in the video did, so we used the app on a second monitor and had our mouse in the TAS input app controlling it, and it was slow as hell. Is there any way I could get it to follow my mouse like the guy in the video did, so that I'm not dealing with a million spaces in a mii's name or sluggish controls?
4. Is there a frameskip setting? On PPSSPP, which most of my games run perfect on, frameskip is there for more demanding games that don't run as well or look as good. When I first tried wii sports out, the game looked shit and had many texture bugs, mainly because my laptop is a potato (I'm surprised PPSSPP can still run games at 1080p with no texture bugs on my laptop as it is). I want to bump the resolution to 720p so that the texture glitch isn't as noticeable, but there is framerate issues. I know wii is a much more demanding emulation than ppsspp ever will be, but I would still like to frameskip it so that there isn't any framerate issues at 720p or even 1080p. Is there such a feature on dolphin?
