hey ho..
i've got a little "problem" concerning dolphin and i hope someone in here can help me Wink.

at the moment i'm using dolphin with an xbox 360 gamepad and everything works fine.
now i've got zeldaConfusedkyward sword from a friend and i managed to get it to work with my controller and an emulated motion plus, but it's almost impossible to aim or move the sword correctly. I also want to play some other games with wiimote support, so i think about buying a real wiimote.
the problem is that i don't want to spend about 60$ for an original wiimote plus & nunchuck set, so i think about buying a non-original wiimote like this.

so here are my qestions: will dolphin support non-original wiimotes?
do i have to buy a sensor bar? i heared that two candles would work too. i already have have a bluetooth dongle, so i would just have to buy the wimote set if candles would work.

thank you Big Grin

oh, i forgot a question.. i didn't find an edit-button, so i'm sorry for the double-posting Blush .

is dolphin able to deal with a real motion plus? is it possible to play e.g. wii sports resort via dolphin and the previously linked wiimote without problems? or is motion-plus support not given ( like motion plus emulation is officially not possible ^^ ) ?

I'll answer only what I know:

Quote:will dolphin support non-original wiimotes?
Dolphin already supports some third-party Wiimotes.
I don't exactly know which work and which don't, so I'll let someone else handle that.

Quote:do i have to buy a sensor bar? i heared that two candles would work too. i already have have a bluetooth dongle, so i would just have to buy the wimote set if candles would work.
Yes, you can use candles or anything that emits enough Infrared light; such as Christmas decorations (as proven on the forums).

Yes, and you already knew that. You are going to play Skyward Sword, which requires MotionPlus, with a real Wiimote.
Any questions regarding Skyward Sword and real Wiimotes should go here.
It should work perfectly fine. Some users have beaten the game with the real controls.

and i didn't know that dolphin supports real motion plus-wiimotes... that's why i asked ^^.

what do you mean?
why should it be illegal to buy a wiimote if i do not own a wii?
then it would also be illegal to buy cd-s if i wouldn't have a cd-player, that doesn't make sense.
or did i misunderstand you?
afaik i didn't hack anything and i'm not going hack anything if i connect the wiimote to my pc.

ok, now i've tried a 3rd party wiimote a friend gave me.
it connects to the pc and gets recognized by dolphin, but as soon as i start a game itsometimes doesn't respond, disconnects immediately or if it works it vibrates and doesn't respond.
i guess that's because it's a 3rd party controller, so i guess i'll have to buy a real wiimote -.- .
if anyone uses a 3rd party wiimote succesfully, pls tell me which one you use Wink.

ok, i bought an original wiimote plus.
unfortunately it is a TR-version, but i managed to get it to work with xoppas workaround.
now i just have one last question: using it with candles doesn't work really well, i guess because there's a window behind my monitor.
if i bought a sensor bar, would the pointer work if sun shines in my window?
