I updated dolphin to the current version with an auto update, but i don't have any sound coming out. i went to the audio tab of the config menu, but i can't click on anything in the menu to set the audio backend. What can i do?

Solution found: it seems that as of version 5.0-11824 you are unable to edit the audio emulation settings while running a game. Simply stop the emulation, go to config -> audio, and select the appropriate back end and other settings to re-enable sound.

Correct. That's not exclusive to 5.0-11824, though, Dolphin never allowed changing the Audio Backend nor the DSP Emulation Engine while a game is running...
