No sound at any game

Hi there.

I just installed dolphin-emu (4.0-2171) on my new computer (Ubuntu 14.04).

It works quick out of the box but I can get NO sound at all. I have tried every combination with HLE, LLE, alsa and pulse, but no luck at all.

Sound is working on other programs and when I launch it from the command line, I get no error message (but the contrary, I get messages like alsa correctly initiated).

Any hints or check I could try?

Thanks for reading me.

PS: My sound output device is through HDMI.

Sounds like an issue with something other than Dolphin (PulseAudio maybe?). If you're using PulseAudio, I'm sure there's a way to view which applications are trying to play audio; see if Dolphin is at least trying to communicate with PulseAudio.

Can you test the audio over a different output, like a headphone jack?

Thank you so much!! It works now! :-)

I opened again the "Pulse Audio Volume Control" to check what I have missed, but this time I tried with dolphin-emu playing. Then I realized what ws wrong:
In the playback label of this mixer the dolphin application appeared and the sound indicator said it was playing sound, but it output it through the internal audio card, not through my HDMI.
That's strange because all other applications do it on the HDMI, but anyway, that was it, and I guess I clicked somewhere at sometime causing this ;-P

As previously said, thank you very much for your good hint!!
