I got the latest version of Dolphin for Android today, and when it installed, I knew that before playing any games, I would need to configure my settings. But apparently, Dolphin thinks it's too good for that, and the message "Loading Settings" never loads.

I understand the devs have given up on Android support, but what gives?

I'm not too sure that's what they were talking about.

We get far more reports of games being slow or broken, which nobody cares about or is working on fixing. That hasn't changed

However, at least the UI will work, but that isn't exactly going to pacify this forum.

This hasn't changed because we can't fix the GPU driver and because we can't supply a faster CPU. Those devices are all trash. And apparently the OP is asking for an UI issue Wink

Do you mean the messages shows up and never go away? Which screen of the settings you are trying to access? does it happen in all settings screen? what is your device model? and does it help if you uninstall dolphin and install it again?

The message "Loading Settings" can be backed out of, but there's no point in doing so. Any method of trying to access the Settings leads to this issue. I am working with an ASUS ZenFone. I have already tried doing a reset and still nothing.

Thoughts?

Which zenfone? I /hope/ it's not the original version, as that's a gles2 class device, and will never run dolphin...

It's a model ASUS_Z010D.

If it can't run Dolphin, that's fine. PC version is the one I enjoy the most.

It has a very low end SoC. Even if you were to spend the time to get this issue resolved, nothing would run remotely close to full speed.

Well, that's sad. Oh well.

At least I'm happy to have pointed out a potential issue. Thanks for the help!
