No intro music yet, there is only music on the file select screen and ingame. Also the wolf howl is likely part of the intro music which is why you don't hear it.
Sound is still much better, but not perfect yet. There are still some minor oddities such as incorrect sounds, sounds that play at the wrong frequency, volume or voice bugs/issues or music cutting off (Super Mario Galaxy).
The most you can do is wait for DSP emulation to improve, some day these games will work fine with sound.
