Sound in Zelda Twilight Princess for the GameCube is working, but I don't hear any music. The music does work in the menus and in the demo after the intro. Sometimes I even get some music in-game (for less than a second), but it seems to stop playing as soon as another sound starts.

The intro should be like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7K8wdjZXWU

But for me the wind sound stops completely as soon as Epona rears (You should still be able to hear the wind faintly). I do hear Epona whinny, but no music plays at all. I don't even hear the wolf howl.

I'm using R3798 on Windows Vista x64 with 4GB RAM, Intel C2D E6750 and Nvidia GeForce 8800GTS 512. My soundcard is a Creative X-Fi Titanium.

No intro music yet, there is only music on the file select screen and ingame. Also the wolf howl is likely part of the intro music which is why you don't hear it.

Sound is still much better, but not perfect yet. There are still some minor oddities such as incorrect sounds, sounds that play at the wrong frequency, volume or voice bugs/issues or music cutting off (Super Mario Galaxy).

The most you can do is wait for DSP emulation to improve, some day these games will work fine with sound. Smile

But I don't hear music in-game either, only on the file select screen. And other people are saying their sound works perfectly.

Ah, so it isn't just me. And I forgot there isn't any music in-game in the beginning, so that's why I didn't hear any.

With the speed the DSP development is going it won't take long to iron out these bugs. The new non-AX DSP emulation is great, I thought it would take years for dolphin to implement it. Keep up the amazing work team Dolphin!

Make sure you don't have Action Replay codes enabled that allow some audio to be disabled, also make sure all three check boxes are checked except for the Resident Evil Zero fix in the DSP configuration.

Audio in these games is still a bit buggy, the issue you mentioned is normal but music should work in most instances for this game.

Thanks for the replies. I do have in-game music, just not in the intro and cutscenes.

Well, even if sound worked perfectly you still wouldn't hear a single voice, because no one in Zelda ever talks. It's all just text. Wink
