No instructions on the wiki, not even a page on 3D vision. I can't really find any user guides or documentation on these forums either, very frustrating.
No instructions or guides for use of the vaunted 3D features?

There's not a lot to say? You have a 3D monitor, and you run dolphin and select the appropriate 3D display mode. It's all there is to it! Do we need a guide that says "it's really that easy"?

Do we need a guide that says "it's really that easy"? Is this "really that easy" on the eyes? http://imgur.com/a/rpiIp Your program is only easy to install and use when it works properly... ...when it doesn't, you're just fucked because there isn't any documentation on the wiki. http://helixmod.blogspot.com.au/2014/12/...11-3d.html This is an example of what I'm talking about, without this guide most people would be screwed trying to run DA3 especially on Win8.1 with SLI. There are 257 characters or 40 words describing 3D vision in the Dolphin manual on the wiki vs TWENTY THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED AND FORTY SEVEN characters or THREE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED AND THIRTY NINE words in the that article you contributed to. Yeah, that's right... You actually have EIGHTY times more words talking about the development of the 3D compatibility and how much of a triumph it was versus what you actually have documenting the 3D feature on the wiki. No offense, I know you contributed to that article but seriously? EIGHTY TIMES more information TALKING about the 3D than actually documenting it? I actually read that from start to finish before I even downloaded Dolphin and when I ran into issues I come to find that the 3D feature is barely a footnote in the wiki. I actually enjoyed reading that article at the time, I thought it was a good insight into the development of stereoscopic support on the Dolphin emulator. Got me all pumped up to play and it was very disheartening to find that I'm probably up shit creek without a paddle. I was hoping if I brought this up now, it might save other people the hassles I'm having and I'm quite willing to submit whatever bug reports are necessary to fix the problem and then update the wiki with a solution myself if need be so the next guy doesn't have to come in here begging for help like I have had to. Edit: Sorry if I seem a little snippy, I ran out of coffee. >.> I'm more than willing to test betas, provide bug reports and update the wiki myself with fixes/known issues if that would help, I actually admire the people working on this project. Emulators like this ensure that once the hardware is long dead, the software that people have legitimately bought and own continue to function into the future without any additional fee beyond what people feel like contributing. |
