My computer doesn't have a CD drive. Is it still possible for me to get games to work?

kinda sorta. It's an alienware m11x. good specs, can definitely handle running the games, it just doesn't have an optical drive. So, can I still run dolphin games? or will i have to stick to steam games?

Your processor is too weak (1.2GHz?), not having a drive is the least of your worries.
Asus Laptop: K53TA
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-Bit - SP1
CPU: AMD Llano A6-3400M, Quad-Core, 1.4GHz-2.6GHz (Overclocked)
GPU: AMD Radeon HD6650M, 1GB GDDR3 (Catalyst 13.1)
RAM: Samsung 4GB DDR3-1333

1.2 gigs before overclock and turbo boost. trust me, I can run skyrim and things like that with no lag whatsoever. Just tell me if it's possible to run dolphin games without a CD drive, please.

yes, it's possible.
but you have to dump your games at your wii (after the process, you have your game in *.iso format). For dumping, use CleanRip or SuperDump.

1.2 GHz? Forget it. I have a dual-core CPU at about 2x2.8GHz, and that's *barely* enough to reach 22 FPS. It doesn't matter whether you can run Skyrim or anything, Dolphin is a CPU emulator and much more demanding than games compiled for your hardware.

You do realize that skyrim is nowhere near as demanding as Dolphin at all, right?
(I know you don't, but anyway I felt like phrasing it this way Tongue)

Just give up on Dolphin, it won't work for anything gaming related with THAT cpu.

Well it's more demanding than Dolphin when it comes to video card. For cpu it's quite opposite. Anyway, unlike CPS-2 emulators which have same requirements for all games, anything from N64 emulators to Dolphin have different requirements for each game.
Some of games will run at full speed even on weakest single core cpu some will crawl like a drunk turtle even with fastest cpu available today.
