Hello,

I'm having a hard time mapping left/right shoulder buttons on my Gamecube controller to not conflict with the c-stick. I'm using a standard GC controller with the Magic 3 in 1 adapter, and in the nJoy GUI when I click on the advanced section so that I can see some input feedback I see that pressing the right shoulder button also invokes the x-axis of my c-stick, and the left shoulder button the y-axis of my c-stick.

What sorts of scenarios and issues can cause these sorts of detection issues? Any suggestions for a workaround or something I could try?

Like the topic says, this is in nJoy 0.3. I can't get 0.4 to detect anything at all.

What's your controller? Some of them have trigger that assign ingame camera range (like mine).

I'm not sure what you are asking, but it's a regular Gamecube controller.

I did some more research on this, and noticed that my problem is that when the advanced settings panel is showing in the nJoy 0.3 GUI that when I press the R/r_shoulder buttons it also triggers my c-stick horizontal, and L/l_shoulder my c-stick vertical.

This doesn't appear to be a mapping issue after all, but a recognition issue. The analog and c-sticks are recognized fine on their own, it appears that only the l/r shoulder buttons trigger these problems.

Any suggestions?
Mods, if you want to s/mapping/recognition in this thread title, feel free....

I'm going to create a new thread for this, as I think as I got deeper and deeper into troubleshooting this I realized that the thread title is inappropriate and misleading... Feel free to close either thread if my actions are not appropriate, I'm just trying to keep this discussion organized in case it serves as a source of reference to others who may have the same problem.

krypking: how embarrassing! This is the first board I've been on that allowed members to change their thread topics, I should have at least tried that first though before establishing my assumption.

At any rate, the topic and original post have been edited.
