Nintendo wasting time?

I suppose they had confidence even it's not HD, new controller system will cover it. First of all, do not forget that main target is kids doesn't care about quality-things, lol.
However I'm sure they'll release HD Wii with new Zelda this year, man.

why would they need to release a new console when the wii is still selling so well it can still go for the full 5 year cycle without having to have HD

There's rumors that Nintendo will reveal a new consolle at the GDC conference in Mars. I think most people are speculating it to be a handheld, which there already were rumors about already. I don't think there will be a wii hd, maybe their next console will be backward compitable (kinda doubting it since that would likely mean just a stronger GC again, possibly making Dolphin work for it). And just adding HD to wii games might not be that easy anyway (Remember Nintendo can't allow serious glitches which could occur, maybe they would need an emulator for it to work perfectly)

I said I'm sure. Not "Confirmed so don't worry". New Zelda Wii is rumored that maybe it will be released this year (or announcing in E3), so if they really are going to, I'm sure Wii HD is with the Zelda.
Also they just can make price down for present Wii even if they're still selling. Higher spec and cheap previous-gen. Just makes sense to me.

However I'm satisfied with Dolphin so far though... Not satisfied with my specs at all though. ops, offtopic.

Or they could release Zelda wii as the first HD title for the current wii after all every zelda since ocarina of time has been something new.

Ocarina of Time: First 3d Zelda

Majora's Mask: First Non-Zelda Zelda

Wind Waker: First Cel Shaded Zelda

Twilight Princess: First Motion Controlled Zelda

Zelda Wii: Could be First HD Zelda but on current wii not new console

Not sure how Nintendo would pull it of but the wii theoretically should be able to do HD however various aspects of it's hardware apparently don't allow this so if they did somehow do this then that would be awesome

Why Zelda with motion+ will be awesome 1 to 1 sword controls. In a zelda game it'll mean no more random slashing by just pressing a button and it will also mean that combat will be better developed since the strength and speed of your swing would actually affect how hard and fast link swings as well. I really hope that they don't include classic controller or gamecube controller support playing it without motion controls takes away from the overall experience.
