I agree that the world might not be completely ready for 4k yet. But it is the future. And new consoles should be the future. It is just that modern technology is expensive, 4k at least is. But eventually prices will go down and new technology will replace it.
I will upgrade my 1080p monitor in a few years... I certainly need a better graphics card to play with a 4k resolution. I doubt a NVidia GTX 960 can handle Dolphin at 4k. But when I do upgrade in a few years, it will be compactable with Dolphin and all my favorite titles in 4k. The question is, will Nintendo by then support 4k when it becomes the new standard. I suppose Nintendo will adapt 4k when the world is using 8k as the standard.
