I have no problem against power, price and battery life either.
Looking back at the Wii U, what did it really have besides Smash and Mk8 and Pikimin 3? It didn't have a core Mario game like Sunshine and Galaxy (3D World does not count), a Metroid game and main Kirby game in which a lot of people were expecting.
People like Nintendo because their first party games are unique and high quality, look at Metroid Prime, TloZ Oot and SS and Mario Galaxy 2. It was disappointing that Nintendo made little use of their IPs compared to their previous consoles. Like what DrHouse64 said, it's part of their history. Even just Mario and Zelda wouldn't suffice.
It may have a huge quantity of games coming for the Switch, but it's the quality of games that matter which is what I expect on a Nintendo console. There are people out there who would buy it just for one game such as a new Metroid or Fzero game or Mother 3.
That said, it doesn't mean I won't buy it at all, I'll buy it when it gets a game I actually want.
